Meet Millstream Home
This week we had the privilege of visiting Millstream Home in Bird-in-Hand, Pennsylvania, where we began developing the basket that will accompany every bottle of French Study Suede.
We never wanted our hand-blown bottle to arrive in a conventional box. Instead, we wanted its presentation to feel considered—something people would keep long after the fragrance is gone. A basket that becomes part of the ritual rather than simply the packaging.
Rooted in generations of Pennsylvania craftsmanship, Janelle and her family embody a philosophy we deeply admire: the finest objects are never hurried. They are shaped patiently, with quiet confidence, by hands that understand time.
There is something about Pennsylvania that continues to draw us back. Its workshops, artisans, and quiet devotion to craft feel wonderfully at home with the story of WEISMOIR.
Meet Jim Loewer
Jim Loewer’s hand-blown glass reflects the patience and quiet confidence of American craftsmanship. Every bottle is formed individually, carrying subtle variations that can only come from human hands. Those differences are not imperfections—they are what make each vessel one of one.
Hand-blown glass possesses a warmth and presence that machine-made glass cannot replicate. It transforms the bottle from simple packaging into an object meant to be kept, displayed, and lived with.
For French Study Suede, that distinction matters. We believe the vessel should be as enduring as the memories it was created to hold.
